The popular sandy Bacvice Beach is 1.1 km southeast of the center (Diocletian's Palace) in a small bay. The 100 meter long "Blue Flag" beach thrills its visitors with a varied selection of offers and its natural conditions, such as its very shallow sloping shores. Only after going 50 meters into the sea, does it become deep enough for swimming - ideal conditions for small children and non-swimmers. Variety can be found by playing Picigin, jet skiing, sailing and pedal boating. A playground and beach volleyball court are available. The trees of the adjacent park provide for an idyllic environment, but give little shade. Fortunately, loungers and parasols can be rented. Showers, toilets and changing rooms are available as well as dining options.
