Approximately 400 meters southeast of the center is Korcula's town beach, nestled between a water polo stadium and the Marco Polo Hotel Complex. Several restaurants, cafés, bars and shops are located around the small pebbled Banje Beach which is, incidentally, also one of the oldest beaches in Dalmatia. The beach is easily accessible on foot via the strolling promenade. There is also parking nearby. Between the promenade and the beach there is a narrow green strip with natural trees and a basketball court. The beach also has paved lying areas in addition to gently sloping, pebbled sections. Young children and non-swimmers will enjoy the beach as well as adults. You can rent boats and windsurfing boards. Other facilities are not known, so sunscreen and bathing necessities should be brought along.
