Beach Banje

The border of the beautiful Banje City Beach connects almost immediately to the old city walls of Dubrovnik in the east. The Banje Beach is not only the most famous, but also the busiest in the city. With a total length of 100 meters and a width of 30 meters, it's popularity is no surprise. Here is where many bathers come together, especially tourists from around the world. It is really of no wonder since the views from here are gorgeous: the imposing city walls of Dubrovnik on one side and directly opposite, the lush Lokrum Island. The Banje Beach has more upscale dining options, with the corresponding prices, and a wide range of leisure and sport facilities.

In addition to playing beach volleyball, football and water polo, guests can also rent pedal boats, kayaks and jet skis - only to name a few. The beach has parasol and lounge chair rentals, showers, changing rooms and a public toilet. Parking is available at the nearby public parking lot on the north side of the old town.

​The western section belongs to a beach club where during the day the younger and wealthier clientel spend their hours and throw hip beach parties until the early morning hours. Since the beach is located below the road and can only be reached via stone stairs, it is not recommended for elderly people or those who have difficulties walking.
