The village's small, quiet, pebbled beach is located at the Pier of Basanija and has been awarded the “Blue Flag”. It is also referred to as the official beach of Savudrija even though Savudrija lies a bit further north. The beach is friendly for disabled people and has in addition to barrier-free access, also a wheelchair ramp with handrails that rolls gently into the sea. The adjacent coastal areas are mostly rocky. At the beach you will have a very nice photo opportunity provided by the boats of the local fishermen that hang on wooden frames. On the beach you can wonderfully sunbathe and relax. The water falls quite flatly into the sea, so that even small children can romp and play around in the crystal clear waters. In the center located a few hundred meters away, there are several restaurants and shopping. Nearby, behind the roundabout, there is a beach bar and a supermarket. There is also a restaurant at the neighboring campsite. The crystal clear waters of the Adriatic make this resort the perfect place to observe the rich marine life from a glass bottom boat. Larger beaches with entertainment and sanitation facilities are available within only a few kilometers in and around Umag.
