About a kilometer from the city center is the publicly accessible beach that lies along the sprawling hotel complex of Belvedere. This beach with its “Blue Flag”, boasts a gently sloping, pebbled and rocky beach and has some bathing terraces towards its edges which are ideal for sunbathing. At the beach's edges, there are many shady spots. For the kids there is a floating water park. There are also lounge chair and parasol rentals, various sports facilities at the sports center, bicycle rentals, kayaking, motor boating, paddle boat rentals, ping-pong and table football. Furthermore, there are restaurants and cafés. A lifeguard ensures for the necessary safety at this well visited, about 300 meter long beach. A tranquil forest connects to the south and is a wonderful place for a walk or hike.
