The Proizd Island is well known for its extremely magnificent swimming areas. It was voted 2007's most beautiful beach in Croatia and, after a report in the New York Times, was listed as one of the 12 most rewarding destinations worldwide. Nudist visitors enjoy this island's secluded atmosphere in particular. Proizd lies to the northwest of Vela Luka and can be reached by boat. On the northern coast of the island you will find the popular pebbled and rocky beach of Bili Boci, which provides a wonderful view of the neighboring island of Hvar and impresses visitors with its unusual rocky landscape. Large trees can be found here, but you should nonetheless bring sunscreen, especially if you take the half-hour crossing. Near the boat docks (in the south) there is a restaurant, the only facility here.
