South of the narrow stone dam which protects the southern harbor, there is the Gabolka Beach. The pebbled beach is only accessible by foot. This poses no problem, however, since it lies only about 650 meters southeast from the center. The pebbled beach provides the optimal bathing experience for small children who can play in the shallow shores as the adults keep an eye on them under the cool shade of the thick pine forest. On the laterally protruding bathing plateaus there are ladders that allow for easy entry into the sea. Showers are also available. Further along the edge of the beach it becomes rocky, so water shoes are recommended here.
