The most famous and also most popular beach - especially for families with children - is the Karpinjan Beach. This beach is only about a kilometer to the north of Novigrad and it can be conveniently reached on foot or by bicycle on the specially established trails. If you prefer going by car, you will find a car park near the beach front. The beach is about 500 meters long and is mainly covered with pebbles. There are, additionally, some rocky sections. The sea is very shallow in this coastal area and is therefore ideal for playing children and non-swimmers. Directly behind the main beach there is a dense pine forest, which is especially popular in summer as a hideaway from the hot sun. At the Karpinjan Beach, you can relax and sunbathe. Boredom will not seep in here, due to the existing sports facilities which offer enough ample opportunities for sweaty activity. In addition, there are showers and toilet facilities. It is also important to take care of your physical well being at either the pizzeria, bakery and café bar, which all provide for the bathers needs.
