In the center of the island's main town of Kolocep there is a beautiful sandy beach with gently sloping shores that stretches out in an idyllic bay of the same name. The beach extends to the foot of the houses and below the coastal road, which is why it is easy to reach on foot. There is, however, no natural shade on the beach. Bathers can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs. Along the promenade there are cafés and bistros serving refreshments and food. Bathers can enjoy diving, snorkeling, canoeing or boating while the little ones build sandcastles and splash in the shallow sea.
