The pebbled beach of Laguna Stella Maris is located approximately three miles from the city center of Umag and offers its bathing guests plenty of amenities. The beach is surrounded by fragrant pine trees, which also protect it from the road. The lagoon of the same name is separated by a bridge from the rest of the coast. In addition, the beach is accessible for the disabled through the paved roads and there is a fenced in area for dogs. The beach shelves gently into the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea giving visitors, especially families with small children, a very good sense of well-being. There are various opportunities for sports activities, as well as dining and sanitary facilities in the immediate area. Between June and September there are lifeguards who ensure the safety of the bathers. For years, Stella Maris has also been awarded the "Blue Flag".
