The Pokonji Dol Beach is probably the most popular beach in the town of Hvar. Pokonji Dol is located in a small bay on the eastern outskirts of Hvar and is best reached on foot or by bicycle due to the limited number of parking spaces here. In the bay, many boats like to moor here. The view overlooks the small offshore island of the same name on which a lighthouse is located. The beautiful sandy beach has a fairly gently sloping shore making it popular with families. It is rocky towards the edges of the beach. The swimming area is marked. Some places in the water are scattered with large stones, which is why bathing shoes are not such a bad idea. The beach, framed by lush vegetation, has several beach bars, a restaurant and pedal boat rentals. There are also showers in addition to parasol and lounge chair rentals.
