Beach Ponta

On the eastern outskirts of Viganj, there is a pebbled beach stretching all the way to Kucisce which is, for Croatian standards, quite spacious and wide. In the areas surrounding Ponta Beach there are a number of campsites where the younger crowds mostly like to stop off at in order to pursue their passions at the local beach: wind and kite surfing. One feature of the beach is a small stone chapel standing in the middle, but the beach itself is accordingly hip and has a versatile selection of things to do. Right next to the beach, you will find a great beach bar and a restaurant with a covered outdoor terrace as well as more taverns and cafés a little bit further away. There is also a small children's playground below the Antony Boy Campsite. The beach has showers and changing rooms, and a few scattered, shady tamarisk trees and benches. From these benches you can enjoy a magnificent view of the beautiful town of Korcula and the diligent wind and kite surfers struggling against the constantly blowing winds. On the beach there is also a water sports rental service and a wind and kite surfing school.
