The natural, pebbled Porat Beach with its gently sloping shores is located to the southeast of the mainland coast, 1.7 km outside of town. This easily overlooked beach is popular with the locals and is quite secluded, away from the tourist beaches in the center. From this beach, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the old town. Along the shore there are many trees donating their welcome shade. Younger guests will enjoy the tranquil water. A few meters away is an area for nudists.
The beach is easily accessible on foot or by car. Parking is available very close to the beach. Shops, cafés, restaurants and bars are only reached after an easy and short walk to the shore road that goes around the adjacent, northern small boat harbor.
