The beach closest to Malinska's city center is Rupa situated only 350 meters in a southwesterly direction. The "Blue Flag" as well as some very fine sandy sections make the pebbled beach of Rupa especially popular for families with small children. The shore is shallow and the sea shimmers turquoise. A separate, supervised swimming area protects bathers in cool water. Pedal boats provide pleasure and variety. Those who desire it can rent umbrellas and chairs. The upper section of beach is partly under pine trees, but is also mostly paved. Dining options includes restaurants and cafés.
