Southwest of the center lies the Sapavac Beach situated just north of the old fortress of Kastelina. It is about a 1 km long walk from the marina in Vir to the beach. Sapavac's popularity is rising amongst tourists due to its sandy beach and medicinal mud, which helps ease rheumatic diseases. Regarding the beach, there is a pine forest which provides welcoming shade. The gently sloping shore is also ideal for young children and older swimmers. You can also cool down in the fast-food restaurant located in the neighboring campsite of Sapavac.
