Probably the most popular beach in Senj is the main Skver Beach, that extends north of the marina and is in within easy reach on foot situated about 500 meters in a northwesterly direction from the town center. Skver is a pebbled beach with concrete swimming areas, sporting activities (including rentable paddle boats) and gastronomy around the bustling waterfront. Near the shore, the sea floor is littered with large round stones which do not affect the swimmers in the shallow shore. The beach now has in the meanwhile a parasol and lounge chair hires as well as changing rooms.
