To the west of the town in the Bay of Velika Luka there is a beautiful, well-attended pebbled beach lying below the residential and holiday homes that are separated from the beach by a narrow stretch of trees. The pebbles of the beach fall over shallow shores into the turquoise sea, where small children and non-swimmers can swim carefree in the first meters. In the shade of the palm, tamarisk and pine trees, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea and the island of Brac. Cold drinks, snacks and ice cream are available at the beach bar, and umbrellas and lounge chairs can be rented. There are also showers and changing rooms. Directly beside the beach is a restaurant. On the beach of Stanici there is the possibility to rent jet skis and pedal boats and you can even go on a banana boat. The beach extends far below the coastal road and you will have to do a bit of downhill walking. Parking can be found on the street or you can travel by bus. If you continue towards the east, you will encounter smaller sections that are interspersed by rock clusters.
