About one kilometer outside of the city and north of Icici there is beach situated along the Lungomare shore promenade- which has been recognized as the official dog beach. Visitors come here from Icici and Opatija with their 4 legged friends to play next to the sea and go for a swim. The beach is located in a pebbled bay with more than enough shade and generous trees that line the flat banks of the sea and is easily accessible. For those who would like to arrive by car, it is possible to park above the promenade and walk down the few steps to the sea. On the dog beach there is no infrastructure, but restaurants and cafés can be found along the Lungomare.
