The small resort of Basanija is located on the northwestern tip of Istria, 1km south of Savudrija and 7 km north of Umag and provides the best conditions for a peaceful and relaxing holiday far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The tranquil resort is located a few hundred meters from the sea and is surrounded by an enchanting, slightly hilly landscape with pine trees. On the coast in the neighboring town of Savudrija, you can admire the oldest lighthouse in the Adriatic.

The lively town of Umag, with its numerous historical sites, can be reached in just a few minutes by car or by bike. Basanija is an ideal resort where you can spend your day on the beach or partake in the wide range of sports and other recreational activities it has to offer. Popular water sports include surfing, sailing, diving and kayaking, moreover, you can enjoy yourself by taking a banana or pedal boat out to sea. Those who desire it, can also try parachuting or dedicate themselves to the tennis courts to play this popular ball sport. Interesting for tourists are the larger cities in the region with fascinating sights. These include, in addition to Umag, Novigrad, Porec, Buje and Rovinj- all ideal places for a day trip where you can explore by biking or walking. Travelers can get to know the country and its people by taking one of the either cycling or walking routes here through the beautiful landscape. Bicycles, boats and other sports equipment can be rented locally.
