Bilice

Located on the edge of the Krka National Park, 8 km north of Sibenik, there is the village of Bilice in the Bay of Stubalj- which is itself embedded in a beautiful river landscape. Having escaped from mass tourism, the town of Bilice offers views of the Prokljansko Lake (inland sea) lying below Skradin in whose waters the salty waters of the Adriatic and the fresh waters of the Krka River mix. The water depths in the bathing coves rarely go more than 2.5 meters deep, so that the waters reach pleasantly warm temperatures during the early summer. Despite the peaceful atmosphere, the town of Bilice has some fairly good infrastructure, with some supermarkets, restaurants and shops.

The magnificent view of the Prokljansko Lake, the quiet and beautiful beaches as well as its location in the Krka National Park all make Bilice a secret tourist destination for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in Croatia. Likewise, Bilice is a good starting point for excursions into the surrounding areas, such as Sibenik, Zadar or Split. Due to its idyllic lakeside location, there are many wild beaches where dogs will be tolerated. These generally stretch along the outside the town center.
