The small fishing village of Dobropoljana, first mentioned in documents from 1270, lies about 7 km south of the bridge connecting to Ugljan on the sun-kissed holiday island of Pasman- near the northern Dalmatian coastal city of Zadar. Pasman, is one of the largest islands in the Zadar Archipelago. This idyllic coastal town spreads out over the northern coast of Pasman and its about 400 residents face the mainland. The majority of the population is engaged in agriculture, olive growing and fishing, which is reflected in the local specialties served in the restaurants and taverns. Dobropoljana's cityscape is characterized by its rustic stone houses, scattered villas and apartments and the small idyllic harbor in the center. Thanks to two narrow piers in the north and south, the boats in this harbor are well protected. In addition to visiting the beach, other trips to the nearby islands or the mainland are worthwhile.
