Jezera is one of the most beautiful places on the island of Murter, which lies between the northern Dalmatian coast cities of Biograd and Sibenik. This is not only the subjective experiences of the vacationers looking for rest and relaxation in Jezera. The quaint fishing village has already been honored five times with the "Blue Flower" - an award from the Croatian Tourist Board recognizing the beauty and the surroundings of a town. The approximately 890 inhabitants of Jezera are not only proud of the unique landscape in which the town is embedded, but also of its well-developed marina. The marina attracts many boaters to Jezera, who enjoy hopping to the nearby islands, such as the Kornati Archipelago and the National Park of the same name. The marina has 225 berths, sanitary facilities, restaurants, and more.

For many centuries Jezera has been traditionally associated with shipping and fishing. In the 18th century this, in actuality very small town, was home to the largest naval fleet in the region and no sailors and merchants simply sailed by Jezera. The residents celebrate their traditions at various festivals such as the Fisherman's Night, Big Game Fishing Competition and the Sea Days, which take place mainly in the summer months. Tourists thus get to enjoy a colorful spectrum of celebrations, which, for many, is a welcome change from the usual beach visits - although the beaches in the town are very beautiful.
