Idyllically situated between the vineyards and olive groves is the dreamy seaside village of Kraj, one of the smallest settlements on the Island of Pasman. Kraj is located in the southeastern part of the island, just 3 km south of the town of Pasman and 3.5 km north of the port city of Tkon. Sitting directly on the sea is the Franciscan Monastery of St. Dujam from the 14th century. Its walls now house a museum which displays exhibits and cultural-historical art treasures. Similarly to other towns on the Pasman Island, a large proportion of the 280 inhabitants in Kraj are involved with the cultivation of olives, agriculture and fisheries. The fishing village is known for its beach, which the locals consider to be the most beautiful on the whole island. During the peak season, many cavort here, especially those families with children, who want to enjoy themselves on the water.
