At the northernmost tip of a narrow peninsula on the island of Pag, lies the peaceful resort of Lun. The tranquil holiday destination is situated on the northwest region of the isle, an isle that the Kvarner Bay encompasses in the south. Lun has been known for over a hundred years for its old olive varieties growing in the botanical nature reserve and characterizing the entire panorama. The olive trees, which mainly grow from rocky soil, give the northern region of the island of Pag a unique landscape. For as long as anyone can remember, the olive trees have always defined the life of the inhabitants of Lun, since a large part of them are engaged in agriculture and the processing of olives. Of course, the olives and the olive oil produced from the locals are used in the local cuisine. Typical Croatian cuisine usually comprises of a lot of fish and lamb.

The cityscape is dominated by rustic stone houses further inland and modern apartments along the coast, where beautiful beaches are just waiting to be visited. Also visit-worthy are the remote beaches and the bike paths that are found around the cape of Lun. Here you can visit the ruins of the church of Sveta Marija, which was originally built in the Romanesque style. To the northwest of the city is the small harbor of Tovarnele, which is ideal for excursions to the northerly island of Rab. In the port, the ruins of a city wall and ceramics have been found from Roman times.
