Nemira

Nemira, a peaceful village near Omis and 32 km south of Split, is situated in a quiet, coastal location. A majority of the houses and holiday apartments in Nemira lie below the coastal road highway. If you live on the slope, you will have to cross the main road on your way to the beach, but the coast is only a short walk away.

Nemira is a town that has been developed mainly by tourism. Since this has only began happening in the last 50 years, the village is characterized by many new buildings and few of the typical Dalmatian stone buildings. Since the settlement, however, has formed beneath the highway on a terraced hillside, you can obtain a wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea from virtually any location.

For athletic exercise there is the rugged mountain scenery in the background of the village. When it comes to gastronomy, it is advisable to be mobile or to enjoy cooking your own food because Nemira has little to offer in these respects. Along the coastal road there are restaurants, bars and supermarkets and the surrounding villages, especially Omis, can be quickly reached.
