A historically and culturally impressive city located 3 km east of Marina and 10 km west of Trogir is the tranquil village of Poljica which has formed on the Mediterranean-covered slopes of central Dalmatia. The town of 690 inhabitants is predominantly dominated by new buildings, but it is definitely worth a visit if just to see the very few historical sights. There is, for example, a cemetery church located above the coast. The village church conveys a more modernistic impression with its yellow painted exterior. In the harbor you will find the Church of Sveti Luka, which was inspired by the Gothic tradition. The date of its construction is unknown.

Poljica is a pleasant place with a few restaurants and shops and is located not far from the bustling cities of central Dalmatia (10 km from Trogir, 38 km from Split). As the locals mainly subsist from fishing, vineyards and olive groves, these specialties should be tried. In summer, a contest is held, in which the best "Soparnik" is sought after - a traditional fasting dish made from spinach, herbs and onions.

The village has some very lively coastal areas that are surrounded by green vegetation and small holiday apartments. Visitors can relax here without a doubt. Surrounded by picturesque mountain landscapes and the sparkling Adriatic Sea, Poljica provides the possibility for an active beach holiday with long walks and sailing or relaxing days on the sea.
