Premantura

The exceedingly idyllic holiday resort of Premantura is located on the Kamenjak Peninsula in southern Istria. The beautiful area has been partially designated as a nature reserve because of its rich diversity of species and its uniquely beautiful landscape. Premantura is surrounded by lush, green vegetation, which has given "green Istria" its nickname. With so much natural beauty, it is hardly surprising that Premantura is not only one of the most beautiful, but also one of the most popular resorts in Istria. Naturally, the area is very popular with not only nature lovers, but also avid fishermen and boaters. Hardly any other coastal region is as rich in fish and seafood as Premantura is.

In November, the Hallowind Festival, a meeting of surfers from around the world, takes place in this small town. In addition to these specific features, there are also fossilized dinosaur tracks in the vicinity of the village - colossal traces from a very distant past. Premantura is also a well-known Palaeolithic Site for dinosaur bones. Also worth seeing is the pretty little Church of St. Lawrence in the center of town. In Premantura there are several diving and surfing centers that enable tourists to go on fascinating adventures above and below the water. Cliff diving is also very popular at the cape.
