Prižba

The small town of Prizba is situated on the south side of the Island of Korcula. The picturesque Ratak Peninsula is home to the center of this quiet village with only 250 inhabitants and is responsible for giving the village its two idyllic coves. The central beach for swimming lies to the east. Nearby, you can explore the Sisters of Mercy Convent (Sestre Milosrdnice). The church of this sacred complex holds regular worship services.

East of the old village center, if you drive towards Brna, you will come across the  Priscapac Peninsula which is home to a beautiful, pebbled beach. The peninsula is only accessible via a steep footpath. You will not find too much idyll here, however, due to the surrounding tourist resort complexes. Despite this, a visit to the peninsula and its beach is worthwhile, especially since Prizba has no other significant sights.

The village is mainly characterized by modern apartment buildings. The surrounding vineyards and hills invite you to hop on a bike and explore the area. There are even many beautiful trails for hiking. Fascinating for tourists and locals alike is the underwater world around Prizba, which can be explored on a diving or snorkeling tour. In the neighboring town of Brna, there is a large sports center with ping-pong tables, volleyball courts and bowling alleys. Small restaurants and local pubs provide an insight into the regional kitchen of the island.
