Prvić Luka

The village of Prvic Luka, which is located on the southeast side of the island of Prvic, which lies between the Croatian mainland cities of Vodice and Sibenik, is especially popular among boaters and vacationers seeking tranquility and seclusion. Prvic Luka is one of two villages on the car-free island of Prvic. The Marina of Prvic Luka is located in a well-protected bay at the southern tip of the island. The ferries from Vodice and Sibenik dock here. Many boaters stop here on their journey through the Adriatic Sea or stop to have a look at the cultural and historical monuments of the small fishing village of 160 inhabitants. A visit to the parish Church of Sveta Marija is a highlight in particular. The famous scientist, mathematician and philosopher Faust Vrancic was buried inside this church. For this reason, the island of Prvic is also known as the "Island of Faust". The church also houses an impressive collection of baroque altarpieces and Vrancic's inventions.

In addition to the peaceful beach visits, you can also enjoy the Mediterranean landscape around Prvic Luka. Between the hills covered with underbrush, vineyards and olives, there are beautiful trails for unhurried mountain biking.
