Vrsi

Vrsi is a small village a few kilometers north of the historic, royal city of Nin in North Dalmatia. It sits on a small hill a few hundred meters from the coast in the middle of a peninsula sharing its name. The municipal area of Vrsi includes some of the scattered settlements on the surrounding coastal sections, such as the weekend and summer holiday settlements of Zukve and Mulo. The coastal length of the municipality of Vrsi stretches for 30 km and has many idyllic beaches and a good number of beautiful pebbled beaches. The old village is very idyllic as it sits in the middle of the vineyards, olive groves and orchards.

The name Vrsi derives from the old Croatian language and means something like "on the hill". Vrsi and its cottage settlements of Zukve and Mulo on the coast are suitable for a quiet holiday in unspoilt nature. The beautiful scenery will not only be experienced on the gently sloping beaches of the resort, but also in the countryside - for example, during a relaxing bike ride through the fields. The tranquil town has regional restaurants, bars and cafés where you can spend many pleasant hours. The many churches that can be seen here in the area, tell the story of Vrsi's medieval origins. These include the church of Sveti Mihovil from the 10th century and the church of Sveti Toma from the 13th century, only about 1 km from the center.

In Vrsi there are some beautiful and very secluded beaches and coves that are extremely popular with naturists and romantic couples. These areas are found primarily to the west of Vrsi, where an uninhabited pine forest provides rest for the visitors and great seclusion.
