Zablaće

Zablace, a small beach town on the Adriatic coast in northern Dalmatia, lies 9 km southwest of the historic town of Sibenik. The medieval charm of Zablace can be felt somewhere between the rustic stone houses and modern surroundings which are illustrated by the renovated apartments and villas. The quiet coastal town was known for the production of salt in the Middle Ages. During the time of the Turkish attacks in 1510, the salt pans and the related industry all disappeared. In addition to Zablace's beautiful pebbled beaches, you can also enjoy the wonderful bay and its muddy earth, which is known for its healing properties against rheumatic complaints.
