About 26 kilometers south of Rijeka and 30 km from Opatija, the Mediterranean-style small town of Kraljevica is located on a gentle slope. In the bays of the district Uvala Scott, Dubno and on the peninsula Ostro, there are fantastic, clean sandy and pebbled beaches for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing where the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea is just waiting for you to plunge in for a pleasant, cooling swim. The underwater world here can also be explored in one diving excursion or you can watch the regularly scheduled sailing regattas. There are more beaches at the Kvarner Bay that are easily accessible and offer a variety of programs and activities for more active vacationers. There is a great variety of activities and events in Kraljevica. One event that simply must be experienced is the the Folklore Performance that takes place in Kraljevica a few times a year. If you are looking for a  lively night life, there are several beach bars located in the Kvarner bay. Some of the nearest larger cities are Rijeka, Crikvenica and Opatija and they have a wide range of trendy clubs and modern dance bars providing fun and entertainment until the early hours of the morning.
