Vela Plaza is a 2 km long, extremely popular main beach of Baska. It is no wonder that this beach has proudly flown its “Blue Flag” since 1999. The wide beach stretches for several hundred meters along the houses and shops on the waterfront. Trees are not found here, but parasols can be rented for shade. Small children like to play in the shallow shores of the sandy sections, while young swimmers and adults engage in sports (including pedal boats and water slides) or enjoy refreshments in the beach bars. The beach is easily accessible and equipped with toilets, showers and changing rooms. For safety, there are lifeguards.
