North of Lovran about 900 meters away from the city center there is the Kvarner Beach which has a "Blue Flag“. In the bathing bay overgrown with vegetation there is a pebbled beach where you can find many cemented lounging places. These stretches fall terraced-like into the water. The interspersing trees provide shade over the cemented areas. Left of the beach cafés and of the sanitary facilities there is a stretch of pebbled beach under the trees. At the center of the beach there is a playground and a viewing tower for the lifeguards, as well as changing rooms. The beach is easily accessible on foot through the Lungomare or by driving down the main street. There are parking spots along the street.
