The local beach of Sumartin is very narrow, therefore, right in the center, lying on the east coast of the harbor bay. The finely pebbled shallow shores fall gently into the sea and provide easy entry. Since the Vala Beach is directly below the coastal road and the sea rises so closely, there is only little lying area on the beach available. Bathers can find spots, although, on the concrete jetties. Just steps away you will find a supermarket, a restaurant and a coffee bar. A water ball court and a small children's playground are located right on the beach. The Vala Beach has no trees providing shade.
