In the center of Zaostrog, one can bathe in the popular and well-equipped local beach whose shallow shores fall gently into the sea. Although the finely pebbled beach is very narrow in places, you will be able to find numerous swimming and sunbathing spots along the beach's 300 meters. Directly below the waterfront promenade, where cafés, bars and taverns wait to be visited, you will find some shade. It is recommended to bring sunscreen because natural shade is scarce and umbrellas are not rented on the beach. There are showers and changing rooms and non-public toilets can be found in the surrounding areas. If you continue along the small boat harbor to the southeast, the beach will become again shadier and relatively quieter.
