Beaches in idyllic bays

With its numerous beautiful beaches, the crystal clear Adriatic Sea and its varied coastline, Croatia is, not without reason, a very popular holiday destination for families, couples, young people, nature lovers and sportsmen. Croatia's Adriatic coast is no longer a hidden secret due to its unique beauty. All travelers who are looking for an idyllic spot on the crystal-clear sea will find several secluded beaches hidden in secluded coves- all due to the rugged coastline! Stunning, towering rock walls that enclose cup-shaped pebbled beaches, such as in the Stiniva Bay in the south of the Vis Island; sweeping sandy beaches whose snow-white shores fall gently into the turquoise sea such as the Sakarun Beach in the northwest region of the Island of Dugi Otok; and romantic pebbled and rocky sections that are embedded in a gently rolling landscape, such as the Podvrske Beach on the Island of Murter will meet every desire. Beaches in idyllic bays are not hard to find and can be found at every twist and turn, especially on the islands.

Charachteristics of Idyllic Bays and Coves

Given the many beautiful beaches hiding away in Croatia's bays, one is slightly inclined to say that this one or that one is the most beautiful or idyllic bay. Idyllic, however, means something different for every holidaymaker. For some idyllic entails the flatly sloping, enclosed by barren surreal rock formations, finely pebbled Rucica Beach in Metajna on the Island of Pag or it may be the Lovrecina Bay embedded in lush green vegetation on the Island of Brac. For others it is the difficult to reach bays: those which can only be reached by boat or after taking a long hike such as the Bay of Vela Luka near Baska on the Island of Krk. As different as they are, there are some characteristics that they have in common: The beaches often find themselves surrounded by unspoilt nature and a unique landscape, most of them have little or no tourist infrastructure and they are often difficult to reach. There are, however, exceptions, such as the Mala Milna Beach on the Island of Hvar and the Velika Luka Beach in Stanici near Omis. At these beaches you will find a diverse range of tourist amenities from dining to sports- which are ideal for families with children. No matter if it concerns a well- developed or a completely secluded beach: The idyllic beaches of Croatia basically have everything anyone could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. That includes nature, tranquility and wonderful views of the Croatian Adriatic Sea.

How to safely find hidde, idyllic bays and beaches

Besides the beaches already mentioned above, there are some more beautiful bays that are particularly noteworthy. These especially include Krk Island (Oprna Beach), Losinj (Cikat), Mljet (Saplunara Beach) and Ugljan (Sabusa Beach). Whether it be sweeping sandy beaches on which you can take long walks, or rocky shores, the rough idyll is dominated by the untamed sea: you can spend many idyllic hours even on the Sahara Beach (Lopar, Rab Island), Cigrada on the Island of Murter, Pupnat (Korcula), Vucine near Zuljana on Peljesac as well as on Sunj on the Island of Lopud near Dubrovnik.
