Duće

Duce is a popular and bustling seaside resort on the Dalmatian coast near Omis and situated only 20 km southwest from Split. The townscape here is dominated by a high degree only by private residential and apartment buildings. No hotel facilities or skyscrapers spoil the idyll in this town. The houses have been mainly built on the slopes of the 600 meter high mountain, which rises majestically and protectively over the village.

Due to its extensive and shallow sloping into the sea beaches, Duce attracts many sun worshipers every year, but families with young children young and the elderly in particular. The 3 km long and up to 50 meter wide sandy beach is divided into many small coves. The beach is well developed and has, in regular intervals,  free showers, changing rooms, lounge chair rentals, bars, cafés, etc. There is also a lifeguard on the beach. On the beach you can, for example, play bocce, billiards, table football and darts. Here you can also rent pedal boats or try jet skiing, para-sailing, surfing, snorkeling, play beach volleyball, pedal a banana boat, fish and much more. There are, however, also some quieter coves in Duce.

Omis, only 2 km away, is known for its extremely wide range of sports and leisure activities. Diving enthusiasts as well as free climbers (rock climbers) enjoy coming here. There is organized rafting (rafting) for the young and old on the very closely lying "Cetina River". There is no need to have any prior practice. An experienced skipper leads the guests through an approximately 4-hour tour and children can participate starting at 8 years of age. On the other hand, the Cetina River and its breathtaking Canyon also has many possibilities for those who like to take it easy, such as boating, a visit to the restaurants adjacent to the waterfront, canoeing and fishing trips.

In Duce itself there is a wide selection of typical Dalmatian restaurants, some of them are directly located on the beach, with wonderful sea views. In addition, there are pizzerias and fast food serving burek, cevapcici, burgers, fries, etc. Any shopping can be done in Duce in the smaller supermarkets which are easily accessible by foot. For any special shopping, the shopping center "Studenac" near the gas station in Omis is recommended. Here you will find a wide range of foods.
